Colorado Ranch Elegant Winter Wedding
“We had a winter wedding in a place that had incredible views, unbelievably beautiful sunsets, pure white snow, a horse and sleigh, and an incredible staff. We were welcomed, offered anything we could ask for, and the whole process was easy. The ambiance of LJD felt warm, ranchy, and a place you wished you lived in. The day was truly a dream and they made it that way!”
There’s something about snow that makes a wedding feel both cozy and alive. Jessie and Sam’s winter wedding at La Joya Dulce had that magic — crisp mountain air, glowing light, and a day full of real moments with the people who mattered most.
A Season They Love
Jessie and Sam’s love for the outdoors brought them to this winter day, surrounded by snow-covered fields and mountains. Guests traveled from Colorado, San Diego, and beyond to celebrate, making it feel like a true gathering of family and friends from near and far.
A Calm Morning
Jessie spent the morning with her bridal party, sharing quiet laughter and small moments of anticipation before the day officially began. Sam’s morning was full of lighthearted energy with his friends. When they saw each other for the first time, it was simple and genuine — no staging, no theatrics — just the two of them smiling and soaking it all in.
A Ceremony Full of Heart
The ceremony took place at a Catholic parish, where Sam waited at the altar and Jessie walked down with her father, Bud — manager of the Colorado Rockies. Every glance, every word, and every pause carried meaning. Vows were heartfelt, sincere, and perfectly them. There were soft laughs, a few tears, and that collective stillness that comes when everyone knows they’re witnessing something real.
Portraits in the Snow
After the ceremony, portraits captured Jessie and Sam in the quiet beauty of the snow. The white landscape framed them perfectly, letting the day feel intimate and reflective, a calm pause before the celebration that followed.
A Sleigh Ride Into Celebration
Back at La Joya Dulce, the couple made a memorable entrance on a horse-drawn sleigh. Guests cheered as Jessie and Sam glided through the snowy ranch — playful, joyful, and perfectly in tune with the winter setting.
Warmth Inside
Inside, the reception was cozy and inviting, with jewel-tone details, candles, and personal touches that made the space feel like home. Tables were set with care, details reflected their personalities, and every corner felt considered without being overdone. Guests from Colorado, San Diego, and beyond mingled, shared stories, and soaked in the atmosphere, including a much beloved intentional and interactive moment with our now famous s’mores cart.
Moments That Stick
Jessie and Sam’s first dance was effortless, a quiet, joyful moment in the middle of an energetic evening. Dances with parents were heartfelt — Bud shared a few laughs and proud smiles as he danced with his daughter. Speeches were full of memories, laughter, and emotion. Even small touches, like a nod to family traditions and personal quirks, made the night unmistakably theirs.
As the band played on, the energy stayed lively, friends danced, and everyone lingered. This wasn’t a winter wedding for checklists or trends — it was about connection, love, and the shared experience of celebrating together in a snowy Colorado setting.
By the end of the night, it was clear this day would be remembered for the people, the moments, and the warmth amidst the winter landscape. Jessie and Sam’s wedding was uniquely theirs — personal, joyful, and full of the kind of memories that last.
