Ashley and Gary’s wedding at La Joya Dulce Ranch leaned all the way into what Colorado does best in winter—big skies, heavy snow, and zero guarantees. Guests traveled in from out of state, many chasing that “snowy mountain romance” idea that somehow lives rent-free in the minds of couples from warmer climates.
This day delivered exactly that… just with a little extra intensity.
A full winter system moved in, bringing a true blizzard to Steamboat Springs. We offered every practical adjustment possible to shift the celebration indoors, but Ashley and Gary had a clear vision for their day: winter, outdoors, and fully present in it.
So we made it happen.
Snow, Wind, and a Ceremony They Chose on Purpose
The ceremony took place in the pavilion overlooking the property, framed by falling snow and shifting mountain weather. Instead of soft, postcard flurries, the landscape turned cinematic—wind-driven snow, whiteout moments, and that quiet stillness that only happens when a storm takes over a valley.
