Courtney and James’ Summer Wedding

After every La Joya Dulce wedding, we are eager to see the photos. It is always fun to see how a professional photographer uses his or her style and artistry to show the couple and their guests in the setting of our beautiful Steamboat Springs ranch.

"Daisy," our 1939 Jaguar "replicar" is part of the fun at La Joya Dulce.

Kari Geha was here to shoot the wedding of Courtney Mc Donnell and James Bartik just two days ago. She’s already circulated gorgeous preview shots, and her skill and artistry are clear to see. Here is a link to Kari’s website. All of the shots in this blog post are Kari’s and we are grateful she allowed us to post them.

Courtney and James literally dodged raindrops during their ceremony – the rain came right when they said “I do.” But it was sunny and beautiful at the start of the ceremony.

During the rain, the guests moved into our event barn for cocktails. After an hour-long downpour, the weather cleared to a blazing sunset. Guests and wedding party were able to enjoy our ranch the views while staying dry.

Rain can happen any afternoon here in Steamboat Springs, but we have the facilities to handle it. We already mentioned our barn-- La Joya Dulce has the only event barn in Steamboat Springs.

We also have a huge (12,000 square foot) pavilion. After dinner in the barn, the reception moved to the pavilion for drinks, dessert and dancing.

The pavilion is strung with hundreds of market lights, and we recently added two huge wrought iron chandeliers. It is a great spot to set up our hardwood dance floor. The pavilion is a great mix of elegant and rustic – perfect for a Steamboat Springs ranch wedding.
